Week 20-23

Size of the Baby: Grapefruit

Gender: Boy!

Maternity Clothes:
Bathing suites are NO fun! It was also a real struggle getting it together for the first two weddings of the seasons! I've also found a boutique I really like pinkblush maternity :)

Nursery: Wes put the crib together, we got the rocker in, and baby D's wonderful "CC" (my mom) bought him a changing table. We also got an awesome antique Ford tailgate from Poppie (Wes' dad) that we can't wait to use!! We've painted shades of green, blue, and tan on the wall. Unfortunately after doing that we decided we hate all of them and  liked the original blue gray color that was already in there the best. Whoops! I'm still working on deciding which fabric samples I like best (and which are "manly" enough)

Movement:
He moves all the time :) I love it and Wes has been able to feel him a few times too!

Symptoms:  No more morning sickness!!! I've been feeling really good! (knock on wood!) Aside from testing out every bathroom in the Raleigh and Wake Forest area I've got no complaints!

Sleep:
Sleeping pretty well.  Still with lots of pillows ...... and LOTS of trips to the bathroom.

Cravings: Still loving crushed ice and cherry limeades! Snow balls and sour patch kids are also a recent weakness!

What I Miss:   Drinking. Especially at my cousins wedding last weekend!

Best Moments This Week: Working on the nursery! Also shopping with me mom ... we went a little crazy in the carters outlet  :)

Looking Forward To:
Little guy getting here! Hurry up October!

Week 19

It's a boy!!!! (....and I don't think Wes has stopped grinning since we left the ultra sound!)

Size of the Baby: Mango

Gender: Sweet baby boy :) I was so wrong!

Maternity Clothes:  Thankful for friends and a wonderful sister in-law for sharing their hand me downs but still having a difficult time accepting this transition!

Nursery:  Nothing.....

Movement:
I felt him for the first time at about 18 weeks! That was before I knew he was a he :)

Symptoms:  Finally starting to show a little! and still morning sickness ...

Sleep:
Give me 8 pillows and I'm sleeping like a baby all night.

Cravings:  Peanut butter

What I Miss: Drinking diet sodas without getting dirty looks!

Best Moments This Week:
Finding out our sweet baby is a boy and sharing the exciting news with friends and family! Both our moms came to the ultra sound with us which was very special!

Looking Forward To: Getting his nursery together!

Week 14

Ok, technically my last post was really only 12 weeks. I started week 15 yeasterday. I think I can handle counting correctly from here out. This is what week 14 looked like for me ....

Size of the Baby: Lil Lemon

Gender: We find out May 9th! :) ...I'm back to thinking girl.

Maternity Clothes:  I wore my first pair of maternity jeans this week ... where have you been all my life? Really not necessary yet at all but man are they comfy!

Nursery: completely FINISHED ..... on my pinterrest board. ;)

Movement: Nothing yet.

Symptoms:
 Morning sickness ...... go away!

Sleep: Bed by 8:00 pm and up by 6:30 am (even on Saturday mornings... NOT COOL)

Cravings:  This week I was dying for some seafood! I think it was the beautiful summer feeling weather.

What I Miss: Unfortunately with that seafood craving I usually go for things like seared tuna and raw clams ... and those are a no go. :(

Best Moments This Week:
Sharing the news with my students was so fun! ! They are so excited and wanted to know if I'd told my husband yet. On Friday one asked if I'd had the baby yet. I love them :) AND meeting Baby Wilder's newest cousin! Sweet Carson is here and so perfect! I can't wait for our baby to get here so they can hang out :)

Looking Forward To: May 9th so I can stop calling this sweet baby an "it"!! Also hoping we can settle on a boy name soon so we can start calling him or her by name when we find out!!

Week 13!

Hello 2nd trimester! I am so excited to welcome  the "easiest trimester." (I hope the rumors are true!) I would like to thank zofran, ginger ale , and preggie pop drops for all their support during the first trimester, but I hope this is goodbye!

Size of the Baby: Sweet little peach :)

Gender: I was convinced girl but now I'm leaning towards boy... We'll see in 7 weeks!

Maternity Clothes:  I haven't made the switch yet but my "fat jeans" have been my go to this week so I'm afraid they are in my near future.

Nursery: Thanks to awesome "freighbors" we have two cribs to choose from! That is all for now. :)

Movement: I can't feel anything yet but at our 9 week ultrasound we saw his/her sweet little arm buds wiggling.

Symptoms:
Nausea! And in the beginning I was beyond exhausted which thankfully seems to be going away just in time for me to track back in! Now if I can just shake this morning sickness ......

Sleep:
Wes loves to tell people: "she doesn't make it past Jeopardy anymore."
I am in LOVE with sleep!  Cold, rainy, tracked out days with my snuggly  puppies have been the BEST.

Cravings: Cherry Limeades from Sonic and Orange Juice with crushed ice make everything better :)

What I Miss:   Beer. I spent Friday afternoon at a new brewery with all my cousins and I had to drink a Sprite .... That. Was. Painful.

Best Moments This Week: Telling our friends and family has been so fun! Everyone's reactions have been awesome and we feel so lucky that this sweet little miracle is already so loved by so many people!! The 9 week ultrasound was incredible, seeing our sweet little baby and hearing the heartbeat was unreal.

Looking Forward To:
I'm ready to see a real looking little baby bump so people can stop wondering if I just ate too many cheeseburgers last night!

How it all began...

In May 2012 I married the man I'd always hoped and dreamed I would. I fall more in love with him every day because he is funny, loving, and honest (maybe too honest sometimes ;)) My friends and family fall more in love him every day because they finally found the one person in the world who could "squash me"( Although I still don't think I REALLY needed it....) We got married 2 years pre hashtags but my  bridesmaids gave us a wedding tagline that would have made the perfect one, Its about to get Wilder.

In the past *almost* two years things certainly have gotten Wilder .....

Every single day has been an adventure! We've filled our days with family, friends, and wonderful neighbors who have become known as our "freighbors". We've attended concerts, football games, and trips with friends. We've welcomed so many new nieces and nephews and celebrated so many holidays with  family that our hearts have grown so full it feels like they could burst! We have been beyond blessed in this wild life that has become ours.

One other thing that has changed is on May 18, 2012  when I married Wesley he came with Izzy. On May 18, 2012 I was "not a dog person" Then this happened.......

And so life has gotten "Wilder" or sweeter really. We are so blessed with wonderful friends and family, a beautiful home, and the cutest and sweetest puppies. Just when we really started to think life could not get any better we got a very exciting surprise on Wes' Birthday, January 25 .........

We are so, so, so excited to announce that we are expecting!!! October 4, 2014, again life is "About to get Wilder!"
